Harambée is our music and drama group associated with this Church.  It has an age range of 8 – 80+ years.

Our concert in March 2020 was "Visions 20/20" written by Harambée members with song lyrics and music by one of our founding members, Ham Harper.  We enjoyed giving two performances and welcome over 100 people in the audience.  See further down for some pictures

When God created the world, it was perfect - just like 20/20 vision.   God's vision is still perfect, He just has to work through imperfect people.  So we explored through song and drama some of the people of the Bible, how God worked through them and how He is working in the world today.

We are delight to announce that we were able to give a total of £250 to the "Blind Veterans UK" charity, thanks to the audiences attending, badges purchaed and additional contributions.

Although we are taking a bit of a rest, work on the 2021 show has already started.  We are delight that Steph (who has directed Harambee shows before and may others in and around Maldon) has agreed to direct for us.  We are looking forward to a journey through the decades starting with the 1940's through to the present day.

Anyone who enjoys singing and acting of any ability is welcome.  You can contact Harambée via email to harambeemaldon@gmail.com

Harambée does not have a membership fee.  Instead we ask for a voluntary donation of 50p per week.  This goes towards purchasing the interval refreshments and other items needed to run the group.  Harambée is a non-profit making group.  Our aim is to give a donation from show profits to a charity, once production costs have been covered.
